Responsive Design, what does it mean ?
The English word Responsive means responsive and describes exactly what is important. When building the page content of a responsive website, the loading process adapts to the characteristics of the end device, whether desktop, laptop, tablet or smartphone.
With the CMS (Content Management System) of Worldsoft AG and the know-how as web designer and webmaster we establish together with you a modern design that is Responsive.
What distinguishes a website from a smartphone app ?
Website is a compound word made up of the terms World Wide Web and site. Website is the term for a complete Internet presence , which is reached via an individual web address in the browser.
A website consists of several web pages. A web page is a single page within a website.
A smartphone app is a software application that runs in a browser on a smartphone. This means that the user interface is designed specifically for mobile access. A Responsive Website, on the other hand, simply rearranges the content to be more usable for the visitor.
A Progressive Web App (PWA) can be described as a symbiosis of a responsive website and an app.
For example, one can read/send emails or bid in an auction - in other words, do things that go beyond just reading text or viewing images as on a standard website.
When is it advisable to create your own smartphone app ?
A Progressive Web App is a very good tool to get in touch with customers. You provide your customers with useful information that they can easily download or receive as push messages.
With a simple click on the appropriate button, your customers can call you without having to search for your phone number first. In addition, you provide customers with functions for booking and reservations.
With the smartphone app, users can also directly email, upload documents and photos to you. Last but not least, products of all kinds can be ordered and purchased with the app, if the app has an online store.
I already have a domain and hosting. What do you suggest ?
It sometimes happens that companies reserve and register their own domain in advance. If this is also the case with you and you agree that I create your website for you and you place an order with me, I suggest Worldsoft AG as the new provider. Until the completion of my work and the acceptance by you as the client, your existing website will continue to run. The newly created website will be created from start to finish in parallel under a new internet address.
Only after the completion of your order, the existing website can be overwritten by passing on a transfer code, which your previous provider announces and hands over to Worldsoft. From then on you and your website visitors will have access to the new website with the already known original internet address.
Who will be registered as the domain owner ?
The company that owns the website is entered as the domain owner for each Internet address. For a Swiss domain, this can be queried at https://www.nic.ch/ in the search field of the WhoIs service under the heading "Domain name search (WhoIs)".
Simply enter the name (e.g. "web-master-design" for the domain "web-master-design.ch") and click on the "Search" button.
The domain owner is then directly visible under the term "holder". At the example "web-master-design.ch" it looks like this:
Domain name web-master-design.ch
Holder T. Kurz Website Services
Short Theodore
Oberibergerstrasse 44
CH-8842 Unteriberg
Can I customize my website myself ?
Your website and / or smartphone app, can be independently maintained by yourself after project acceptance, if you wish.
Thanks to a comprehensive and targeted training at the end of the project, you will be able to make adjustments and enhancements in the Worldsoft CMS and Worldsoft Business Suite (WBS) yourself. See the "Stages of a project order" section on the "Services" page.
How does an order proceed ?
See the "Stages of a project order" section on the "Services" page.
How does the collection and management of address data work ?
When a visitor to the website clicks on the "Contact Us" page and enters the form data, the WBS (Worldsoft Business Suite) automatically receives and stores it in the background. Subsequently, an automated business process of the WBS is run through, which sends a confirmation e-mail to the user.
The user data transferred in this way is available within the WBS and can then be managed by you as the website owner with the help of the CRM (Customer Relationship Management) function and, if necessary, used for messages to the new visitor. Our website and the assigned processes are programmed compliant to the DSGVO (Data Protection Regulation) and therefore the data management is completely ok.
